Who We Are
First and foremost the Tallahassee Historical Society is a place for those with a curiosity of history, especially Tallahassee History, to meet and attend a lecture or program and join in fellowship with others of the same interest. As well as presenting monthly speakers and programs, this society also serves as a referral group for people of Florida and the United States and presents announcements concerning history events that are happening in Tallahassee.
Today we do not collect fossils or memorabilia. These are kept in prime conditions at the Florida State Archives. But we pass items of interest to the Archives, and we still inform the public on Tallahassee history.
